Ok... So here it is! ???? A behind the scenes of my @ukwomenshealth #nakedissue. (Taken by me on my phone off the computer screen on the day so NO PHOTOSHOP.) When I was first asked to take part in this shoot my answer was No. In fact it was a "Naked? Are you kidding?!" ?? But after a lot of thought & reading past issues & discovering why the Naked issue is out every year I jumped on board. This issue is about woman being comfortable in their own skin. I'm in it along with 10 beautiful woman all of us different in physique, height, weight, you name it. The one thing we have in common is our mutual support for females. To stand up and say, this is ME. This is MY shape. This is MY body. And I am PROUD OF IT! It took me a while but at 31 I am happy within myself. Mentally & physically. I hope this picture inspires woman to love their bodies & embrace every freckle, every inch, every muscle every curve & every bloody stretch mark on it! (Me included on the latter) ????YOUR body tells YOUR story. Some of you have even housed babies in there! Be proud! You are incredible. Don't forget it. Lifting weights makes woman bulky... Right? WRONG!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT IM AROUND 1 STONE HEAVIER IN THE PINK BIKINI BUT WITH A LOT LESS BODY FAT. It's hard enough for men to get 'bulky' and it's them who have all the testosterone! Trust me, us ladies don't have anywhere near enough testosterone to look like a dude... On the left was me before I began weight training. I did the odd bit of cardio & didn't really pay attention to my diet. Far from overweight I know, but I was tired, sluggish, had Regular breakouts on my skin & lacked energy. On the right is me after only 4 months into weight training and eating a clean diet with the odd 'treat' thrown in (ain't no one taking away my pizzas!) ?? I'm Leaner, stronger, fitter but most importantly HAPPIER & HEALTHIER. So ladies, next time you hear 'you'll look like a man' or 'you'll get too bulky' just politely smile, thank them for their opinion then go pick up some heavy ass Dumbbells! ???? It really has changed my life and it'll change yours too. #girlswholift #strongwomen

#bts again! This pic is for those people who messaged me to say I'm 'airbrushed' These were taken on my phone straight off the computer just like the previous pic I posted. Hence the bruise above my right knee, the greasy oil on my left leg (which makeup ran in and rubbed in properly after seeing this test shot!) and also the stubble on my armpit ?? I worked DAMN HARD to get in shape for this shoot & it annoys the hell out of me when people think I didn't. I wish (like some lucky beggars!) I looked like this without as much effort but alas, I don't. It took consistency, patience, will power and hard graft both on the gym floor and at home to control what I ate and what I avoided. Im not an athlete, i am a normal girl and I love my food so this picture is proof that, IF I CAN DO IT SO CAN YOU. DONT GIVE UP ON YOURSELF! #girlswholift #strong #girlpower ????
